Dr. Dennis Gibson earned his B.S. from Northwestern University in chemical Engineering. After working 6 years with Dow Chemical Company, he made a career change as a result of leading a Young Life club with Ruth, his wife. Dr. Gibson earned his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Minnesota.


Dr. Dennis Gibson is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years' experience in individual, marriage, and family counseling. He has authored the books Vitality Therapy (counseling tips for non-professional counselors), What To Say When and The Strong-Willed Adult (on self-discipline).

Dr. Gibson is also a two time cancer survivor and is presently offering cancer coaching, in addition to individual and marriage counseling.

He has been married for over 40 years and together, he and his wife, Ruth, have taped 93 episodes of their TV show "Positive Living." They co-authored The Sandwich Years . They have presented seminars together internationally for over 20 years.
